SMS Terms. Consent & Opt-In Policy
Who receives messages
Tradellen is a field-service management platform used by home-service businesses (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and similar trades). Messages are transactional and are sent to two groups only. Never to purchased lists and never for unrelated marketing:
- Customers of a business who book or request service, appointment confirmations, reminders, "technician on the way" / job-status updates, and replies.
- A business's own employees and field technicians — their daily job schedule and dispatch updates.
How customers opt in (consent)
A customer opts in by affirmatively checking a clearly-labeled consent box when they book an appointment online (or by giving their mobile number to the business and agreeing to text updates over the phone or in person). The booking form presents the consent language below next to an unchecked checkbox the customer must check to proceed; consent is recorded with a timestamp.
"I agree to receive appointment confirmations, reminders and service updates by text message from [Business Name] at the number I provided. Message & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See the Privacy Policy, Terms and SMS Terms."
"[Business Name]: You're confirmed for Tue 2:00 PM (AC repair). Your technician Diego will text when he's on the way. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
How technicians opt in (consent)
A technician is added to the messaging program only when their employer enters the technician's mobile number into their Tradellen account and confirms the technician has agreed to receive work-related text notifications. Consent is recorded with a timestamp.
"I agree to receive work-related text messages (job schedules, dispatch updates, and appointment notifications) from my employer through Tradellen. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help."
What messages are sent
- To customers: appointment confirmations, reminders, "technician on the way" and job-status updates, and replies.
- To technicians: assigned jobs and appointment times for the day, schedule changes and dispatch updates, and an optional link to share their work location.
These are transactional, account and operational notifications, and they are what the platform sends by default.
Message frequency
Frequency varies based on activity, typically only around the time of a booking or a job (often just a few messages per appointment or workday).
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Tradellen LLC does not charge for messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opt-out and help
Anyone can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation and then no further messages from that business. Replying HELP returns support contact information. To start receiving messages again, reply START to the same number.
Opting out is honored in two independent places: the carrier and messaging provider stop delivery, and Tradellen LLC records the opt-out and refuses to send to that number from the business you opted out of. Only you can reverse it — a business cannot re-subscribe you from its dashboard. Opt-out is per business: replying STOP to one company does not silence a different company you still want to hear from.
"Tradellen: Your jobs today, 9:00 AM Jane Doe @ 14 Maple Ave (AC repair); 1:00 PM Bob Lee @ 5 Oak St (water heater). Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
